JR Kyushu has announced the official names of the new stations, which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2022, on the Kyushu Shinkansen (九州新幹線) West Kyushu Route (between Takeo-Onsen and Nagasaki) and the Omura Line (大村線).
The new stations on the Kyushu Shinkansen, which have been tentatively named so far, have been decided to be “Ureshino-Onsen Station” (嬉野温泉, Ureshino City, Saga) and “Shin-Omura Station” (新大村, Omura City, Nagasaki). Shin-Omura Station will also be installed on the conventional Omura Line (between Takematsu Station and Suwa Station), and passengers can transfer trains. The station names of “Takeo-Onsen Station” (武雄温泉), “Isahaya Station” (諫早), and “Nagasaki Station” (長崎) that connect to existing conventional lines will remain the same.

Another new station on the Omura Line will be opened between Matsubara Station and Takematsu Station, which will be “Omura-Sharyokichi Station” (大村車両基地, Omura City, Nagasaki). “Sharyokichi” means the adjacent rail yard of Kyushu Shinkansen.
